Who Are We
Neshaminy Federation of Teachers is a union of over 650 professional educators who promote the welfare of children and all others we serve. The NFT includes teachers, librarians, school nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
What We Do:
The NFT
- Promotes the welfare of children and all others we serve by providing progressively better educational, health, and social service opportunities for all, regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, and social, political, or economic status.
- Promotes an understanding of the democratic process.
- Establishes the teachers as the center of the instructional and learning process.
- Advances the status, rights, and professional interests of teachers through participation in policy formation.
- Fights all forms of bias due to race, creed, color, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and social, political, or economic status.
- Cooperates with the American Federation of Teachers (AFL-CIO), AFT Pennsylvania, and other such organizations dedicated to the health and welfare of children, participation in civic and political responsibilities, and advancement of education.
