Members of the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers Voted to Accept The Terms of the Tentative Three-Year Agreement
Following months of collective bargaining negotiations, members of the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers (NFT) voted affirmatively to ratify a three-year contract with the Neshaminy School District (NSD). The tentative agreement is for three years and would apply retroactively beginning July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028.
The agreement must now pass a vote of acceptance by the District’s Board. The Neshaminy School Board is scheduled to vote on September 9, 2025, to ratify the new contract.
“This tentative agreement honors the hard work and professionalism of our members. It improves financial compensation, safeguards health care affordability, and strengthens working conditions in meaningful ways. By expanding elementary prep time, we are supporting our teachers’ capacity to plan effectively and meet student needs,” said NFT President Tara Huber.
“We are especially proud to offer members a new, lower-cost health plan alternative. The addition of a high-deductible health care option and the expanded medical-opt out benefit allows our members greater agency to choose an option that meets their individual or family needs, while potentially realizing meaningful cost savings.”
Huber notes that the new three-year contract provides financial security for NFT members and their families, and thanks the Board and District for working cooperatively to ensure labor peace so that educators can focus on delivering high-quality instruction to our students.
