Community Outreach

The NFT Community Outreach committee is where caring turns into action—supporting meaningful district projects while also meeting real needs across our community. From assembling dry soup mixes and stocking area food banks to saving food packaging for classroom lessons, our outreach efforts make a difference in big and small ways. We also help students in need by providing personal care items, school supplies, snacks, clothing, and other essentials that help them feel supported and ready to learn. In addition, we collect manufacturer coupon inserts to help offset the cost of food for military families, ensuring every dollar goes further and every family gets a little extra support. The best part is that anyone can help, whether you want to take on one project or jump into several throughout the year. NFT members are encouraged to get involved in whatever way fits their time and interests, because every donation, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness strengthens our schools and our community.

Check out the ways below to share the love and support our community this February!

Join us on Saturday, 2/21 for our 8th Annual Day of Service! Together we’ll assemble 350 dry soup kits to donate to local food banks. Families are welcome—bring your kids, friends, and loved ones and help us make a difference side-by-side. You can sign up in advance, or make a game-day decision and just show up. We’d love to have you either way!

Purchase Items for Neshaminy Fresh Start Closets

Purchase Items for Neshaminy Fresh Start Closets

Fresh Closets in Neshaminy School District are dedicated spaces, typically located in the nurse’s office or guidance office, that provide discreet support for students in need. Stocked with new clothing, hygiene products, snacks, and school supplies, these closets are designed to ensure students have access to essential items that help them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. From a clean shirt or personal care items to a quick snack or necessary classroom materials, Fresh Closets offer practical assistance so students can focus on getting through the school day with dignity and support. Purchase new items through the Amazon Wish List (scan or use the link to access the list and look for "lists and registries." Send to Middletown Township Police Department c/o Officer Robison 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne, PA 19047).

Donate to a Local Food Drive

Following the generous wave of giving in November and December, many local food banks are now running low. During this cold winter season, please consider helping families in need by donating food and personal hygiene items to replenish their supplies.

Send Coups to Troops

A small act can go a long way—manufacturer coupons help military families save on everyday necessities. Simply send your coupon inserts (no need to cut them apart!) to Kerry Hammon at NHS using interschool mail. The Community Outreach committee will take care of sorting and shipping them to military families on bases across the country.
